Schindlers List
Oil on canvas, 60x80cm, made 03-2020
Oscar Schindler is an inspiring man who saved appr.1.100 Jewes during WWII. He saw a little girl with a red coat escorted by some Nazi's. A day later he saw her dead between several corps on a wagon. It was then that he decided he should do something against the cruelties of Nazi Germany.
This painting is a scene from the movie 'Schindlers List' from Steven Spielberg.
I espacially like the contrast between the innocence of a little girl and the cruelties of war visible on the faces of these deported jewes which constrast is even stronger because of the black in white painting and the red coat.
